Dedicated Stainless Steel Sleeve Of Silicon Steel Coil
| Dedicated Stainless Steel Sleeve material | specification |
| 304 stainless steel sleeve | 355*305*1200 |
GW Precision’s Dedicated Stainless Steel Sleeve is developed for precision rolling applications where roll alignment, surface quality, dynamic balance, corrosion resistance and anti-adhesion performance are critical. The sleeve uses 304 stainless steel and is specified at 355 × 305 × 1200 mm. The supplied application data describes a high-precision aluminum foil rolling production line, while the product title identifies the sleeve as dedicated to silicon steel coil. Final application should be confirmed according to the customer’s rolling line and operating conditions.
For precision support, the sleeve can be used as a lining component for work rolls or intermediate rolls. Roll system radial runout is controlled to ≤0.003 mm, supporting aluminum foil thickness tolerance of approximately ±0.001 mm. Surface roughness is Ra ≤0.05 μm to limit aluminum adhesion. At a rolling speed of 15–30 m/s, dynamic balance is evaluated by vibration velocity of ≤1.2 mm/s, with ISO 10816-3 as the reference standard.
Typical conditions include contact stress of 400–800 MPa based on Hertz contact theory and impact loads of 8–12g caused by frequent roll changes and acceleration. The environment can contain low-viscosity mineral rolling oil and antioxidants. Aluminum powder creates abrasive wear, with stated hardness of HV100–150. Typical operating temperature is 60–120°C.
The 304 stainless steel contains 18–20% Cr and 8–10.5% Ni. In solution-treated condition, hardness is HB ≤187. Corrosion resistance can be checked by a 5% CuSO4·H2SO4 drop test. Low-temperature ion nitriding at 420°C for 24 hours can produce surface hardness of HV800–1000. Electrolytic polishing removes chromium-deficient areas at surface grain boundaries and can increase corrosion resistance by approximately three times.
For anti-adhesion performance, laser texturing forms micro-pits with a diameter of 20–50 μm and depth of 5–10 μm. PTFE impregnation provides a friction coefficient of 0.05–0.08. The main failure modes are aluminum adhesion wear, approximately 70%, and fatigue deformation, approximately 25%. After DLC coating, the replacement cycle can extend to 7–8 years under applicable conditions. Plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) forms an Al2O3 ceramic layer and further reduces aluminum adhesion.

GW Precision is located on the west side of Luoyang City, with steel sleeves as one of its main products. It provides professional design, development and manufacturing, supported by proven machining technology, a well-developed management system and qualified, skilled employees. Strict quality inspection and technology control are applied, and stainless steel sleeves are supplied to domestic and overseas aluminum-processing companies.
